I guess I am now a "soccer mom"

Our family has now entered the world of sports. Noah just finished his first soccer season and he is in the middle of his first Tball season. He says that he like Tball better, but I'm not sure that either one is for him. He really is not that athletic. He is much more of an artist/thinker type. He loves to draw and write and is already writing his own books. He thinks now that he would like to try karate and learning to play the guitar. I believe that both of those will be more his speed.

Our sports experience has led to another discovery - Abby does not seem to be the "cheerleader" type. She would much rather just sleep through the games. She loves to cheer Noah on at home, but the games mean nothing to her. Her personality is the direct polar opposite to Noah. He builds it, she detroys it. He cleans it, she dirties it. We affectionately call her "Sybil" around here. (If you have ever seen that movie, then you have a good picture). She can swing from total love and affection to a full-blown vomit-spewing head-spinning tantrum in about 20 seconds. Doesn't take much to set her off, but sure takes a lot to bring her out of it. She is exhausting, but beautifully sweet and such an encourager for all of us (when she wants to be).

Sorry it has been so long since I updated. Life tends to get in the way. Will try to do better.

This is SO cool

How fun is this. I have actually had time today to play around with this blogging thing. I even learned how to add my playlist to the page. I am told that I have a wide range of music that I like to listen to, and my husband always makes fun of the mixes I put together. Well, here you can check it out for yourself. I've had fun figuring it all out.

Great news in our house this month. For those of you that do not know, Noah "invited God to live in his heart" two weeks ago and has been very excited about it since then. It was awesome to celebrate Noah's new faith in the Lord as his Saviour this Easter. His decision made the holiday even more special, because my son has now accepted God's free gift of grace. He is wanting to learn more about the Bible and loves going to church to learn from his teachers every week. He tries his best to pass his new knowledge to Abby. Sometimes that doesn't go so well, like today. Today, Noah and Abby were "playing church" with her girl's Bible in my bedroom. I was downstairs folding laundry when Noah came to the top of the steps and informed me that Abby was calling the Bible "stupid". (We are having a problem with that word in our house right now - mainly from the 2 year old). Anyway, I informed Noah that Abby was just using the word to make him mad and did not really understand what it meant or what the Bible really was, for that matter. Not yet, anyway. He proceeded to tell me that he had prayed to God in hopes that God would not get too mad at Abby for calling His Word "stupid". Oh, if the rest of us grownups who profess Christ as our Saviour would be so concerned about something as trivial as the word "stupid", then the world would be in much better shape than it is in now.

My Very First Blog Attempt

Wow. I have NO idea what I am doing here. But after being inspired by a dear friend of mine who has her own blog (thanks, Joanna), I decided to give it a try. So over the next few days I am going to attempt to get this thing underway (for those of you interested in reading).
